Welcome! I am Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM) in the state of Vermont, Full Spectrum Doula, and I have a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Vermont (UVM).
For as long as I can remember, reproductive health has been a passionate interest. During my undergraduate schooling (also at UVM) and immersion in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, I had inklings wanting to support people during their childbearing year. Specifically, I wanted to be a midwife! I became a Certified Doula in 2009 through DONA International as the foundation for my midwifery path. Upon graduating from UVM in 2010, I began a three year apprenticeship with Vermont Licensed Midwife, Chenoa Hamilton. The culmination of my midwifery training took place at the high volume birth center Yayasan Bumi Sehat in Bali, Indonesia under the supervision of Robin Lim, a globally recognized midwife and reproductive health advocate. I became certified in 2013 upon completion of my midwifery portfolio and passage of the national exam issued to Certified Professional Midwife candidates.
Additionally, I am certified by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for newborns and by the American Heart Association in basic life support for adults and children. I am a member of the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), and National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM). I also serve on the executive board of the Vermont Midwives Association (VMA).
I live in the beautiful city of Burlington, Vermont with my children and husband. Outside of birth, I love to dance, coach middle and high school students in athletics, foster dogs, garden, and CrossFit.
