Juliana Taylor is a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), Licensed Midwife in the state of Vermont, Certified Doula, and holds a Masters Degree in Education.
While completing her Bachelor Degree of Arts in Women and Gender Studies at the University of Vermont, Juliana became a Certified Doula in 2009 through DONA International as a stepping-stone into Midwifery. Upon graduating from UVM in 2010, she immediately began apprenticeship with Vermont Licensed Midwife Chenoa Hamilton. Juliana spent three years training with Chenoa, as well as several other Vermont Licensed Midwives. During the culmination of Juliana’s midwifery training, she spent three months working at the high volume birth center Yayasan Bumi Sehat in Bali, Indonesia under the supervision of renowned midwife, Ibu Robin Lim and Erin Ryan. While simultaneously studying midwifery, Juliana completed a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Vermont and became a Vermont Licensed Midwife in 2013.
Juliana is certified by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP & BLS) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults, infants, and newborns. She is a member of the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), and National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM). Juliana is President of the Vermont Midwives Association (VMA) and Vermont Birth Network (VBN).
Juliana lives in Burlington, Vermont with her daughter, step-daughter and husband.
